TRUTH

"…You will know truth and the truth will set you free." John 8:31-32

Untold millions of people all over the world have been seeking Truth since the beginning of man's long span of being apart from It. They continue to look for Truth in the night sky, in a lover's embrace, mesmerized by a child's play, peering through a microscope and in so many other ways and places. For most Truth has been illusive, indescribable, impossible, threatening and even painful to acknowledge. Frustrated, they compromise their expectations, accept the offerings of their sensual perceptions and settle for feeble truths that are vulnerable to space and time.

Here on earth divergent opinions exist among people about truth; and consensus about it is rare. The meaning of truth for most depends on their conditioned beliefs passed down to them by a long string of generations. The real sources of these truths are uncertain and frequently altered by the egos of those whose needs they serve.

I know Truth exists. It is independent of human perception and beyond the reaches of most of the inhabitants of this dimension, yet present here. Truth has always been with you in all Its splendor. It remains hidden in a space within your heart that beats silent to time weathered ears. So long ago you walked with It side-by-side, strong and joyful. Together you were omniscient and limitless. You loosed Truth so you would be gods; and you are still oblivious to your longing for It.

Separation from Truth is impossible because you are One as is all. A part cannot remove itself from the whole (Truth) without the whole being diminished and the part ceasing to be. "Intra-inter-dependence" exists between the whole and its parts. As such separation is an illusion. You have never been apart from Truth and It remains unblemished. Truth allows for the existence of illusions but neither perceives nor knows them

To know Truth you need to be able to recognize It. In this dimension Truth is experienced physically as a sensation of overwhelming joy and surety within your physical body that is absolutely void of doubt and fear. Each individual needs to find It in his own way and everyone has to express it with an intention of Love towards self and others. Truth and Love are One. They are inseparable. Truth is about who you really are, what your purpose in life is and your relationship to the rest of creation.

Even though I can't reveal Truth to you, I can offer information that may help you recognize It. To begin with, there exists little Truth in what you create in the world because much of what you make here is predicated on fear. Fear and Truth cannot occupy the same space any more than darkness and light. Truth abolishes fear. In fact the omnipresence of Truth makes fear impossible. The subconscious or ego mind prevents you from seeing Truth and the resulting fear is the illusion.

When you live through the ego dependent mind you base your life on beliefs or truths that limit your existence. These truths are both personal ones and those you share with others. All of these truths are subject to change that is brought about, often without notice, by an infinite number of circumstances. Your changing truths can be easily identified in your own life; and, over periods of historical time, can be seen in the meandering of fragile world societies and their institutions. In contrast Truth is changeless

In order to reconnect with Truth you need to understand what your body is. Appreciate that you are not merely a physical body. You are living in a body that you navigate and care for as you would a car or a ship. The body is finite as are all its physical expressions and creations. Your True spiritual essence is One infinite being. When the physical body dies it decomposes according to your mind's illusions about birth and death. What survives physical death is infinite and is your Truth.

You are much more than your ego mind can imagine. Your ego wants you to identify with such sensual experiences as: monetary wealth and all it can buy, awards, rewards,
careers, being with the right people, belonging to the correct social institutions and etc. Consider the limitations these experiences can impose on your life when they become
obsessions. All such identities serve the ego and are as impermanent as the body and mind that desire them.

Begin changing your mind about your identity by altering how you reference yourself. For examples say "my body is sick but I cannot be ill or die" rather than "I am
sick"; say, " my body is aging but I am ageless" rather than "I am aging"; and say, "my body is beautiful but I am indescribably beautiful" rather than "I am beautiful".

Trust is important in order to know Truth. It includes: trusting that there is so much more that is grander and spectacular about all creation than what you perceive physically, that your existence is vital to creation and that you and all of creation are destined to evolve spiritually. Trust allows you to look fearlessly beyond your defenses where Truth waits. When you transcend the subconscious mind, open yourself to the infinite, connect to your higher self and trust it impeccably you will be present with Truth.

Conscious management of your mind helps you know Truth. The more conscious you are of your every moment, the more easily mind can connect you to your higher self. An important tool for mind management is meditation. This is not meditation that disconnects you from your mind in order to experience your spiritual self. It is one that expands the potential of your mind It is an active process. It helps you become aware of all incoming thoughts and accept or discard them according to your highest interests.

When you attain mastery of the mind, presence with your spiritual self will become effortless. Presence allows you to live life rather than fighting the obsessions that mock it. When you fight life you fight yourself and you fight Truth. Living in presence allows you to transcend your ego mind and know Truth from your higher self. You can change your mind about how you look at the world. You can manage your conditioned truths and behaviors. You can stop judging the world and yourself. You see everything clearly and in everything you see Truth rather than illusions.

Meditation techniques for helping you manage your mind are available. I will share them through the Spiritual Perspective in the near future.
