It is most apparent to me that the commercialization of Christmas - its evolution as a predominantly economic stimulus - has derailed many from celebrating its Divine significance and its great joy.

As the word implies, Christmas was intended as a celebration of Jesus Christ. To honour Him in celebration we need to be conscious of what it is about Him that is worth celebrating. I believe He lived His life to remind us and teach us that our true essence is simply Love. Consider that, when we are present with what we truly are, we cannot but live in joy because we become enraptured by this most magnificent and powerful force.

This Christmas tone down your accustomed "hustle and bustle". Instead give heartfelt gifts of patience, understanding, acceptance, compassion, peace and gentleness. Express and receive gratitude - Love's greatest expression - in all its forms, bring it into your heart and allow your consciousness to be infinitely present with Love. Then you will celebrate being Christ's message and experience everlasting joy.
