THE GULF SPILL: HOW CAN YOU HELP

In my past articles I noted that there are new spiritual energies entering our world. On the one hand these energies are hastening the ascension of Earth and those of its inhabitants who are seeking to know and express their spiritual path of "service". On the other hand these same energies are hastening the karmic effect for those who follow a life of service to their lower egos. The increasing dramas and traumas in our world that are causing so much harm, such as the Gulf of Mexico oil leak, are the result of the thoughts and actions of the lower ego of many on the planet.

Even though here in Canada we are seemingly a safe distance from the Gulf of Mexico, we cannot help but be touched by the gush of oil there and its deadly repercussions. We will increasingly continue to be so physically, emotionally and mentally as the oil spreads and the crisis unfolds. Those who haven't awakened to the interconnectedness and interdependence of all living things and natural processes in the world, stand by. You will have the opportunity to do so as the oil continues to spread and its effects stress physical life and our way of life.

In this reality we are both on and of the Earth. We are in symbiosis with it, others of it and on it. The energy of what we create vibrates and reverberates out; and its effects are reflected back to us. This is so for all creation. We are all energetically affected, grossly and subtly, both in harmonious and chaotic ways. It is by living in harmony that we experience God. It is in chaos that He reminds us of His presence and gives us the opportunity to renew, on Earth, His laws of creation.
The oil leaking in the Gulf is an effect of our disharmonious creations. Physically stopping the oil flow is urgent; but doing so does not heal its real cause. To do this we must begin by restoring harmony within ourselves and transforming our energy output to one of service. As we exercise this God-like creative principle we connect with Earth and all its life and positively affect them.

In a practical sense this means we need to express "appreciation" for the world and its life, Appreciation is a component and an expression of love. When we appreciate anything we accept it, endear it, care for it, protect it and take responsibility for it. We do these things instinctively, voluntarily and with the blessings of our higher selves.
Earth gives and sustains life. As recipients of these gifts we have a sacred contract with it. In return it asks only that it be appreciated by us. We all have the capacity to appreciate it. We can help heal the oil spill through such appreciation. If you have forgotten how to appreciate ask how in your prayers. Such prayers are readily answered and their fulfillment is imperative now.

Addendum: On June 23, 2010 M. Feldman, District Judge in New Orleans, denied the US government a continuance on its 6 month ban on deep sea oil drilling. This is unconscionable in light of current events in the Gulf. Who is the Law serving? The answer is obvious. It is not Earth and its life. This decision may be serving legal justice but is failing to serve life.
